PROUDgive 5 was amazing, a big eye opener too! Does anyone know what it takes to feed over 350 guests at The INN?!! Well it's hard work for sure but absolutely gratifying and gives me the knowledge that I'll keep my dinner parties to under 20! Truthfully I really enjoyed the experience we had there and again was blown away by the PGOM team... as was everyone they encountered at The INN! Check out the video of PROUDgive 5 and tell us what you think!

I continue to be amazed and impressed by the whole PGOM team! Yesterday we went to Little Flower Children's Services where the team got to meet and interact with 8 girls who reside there. They were genuine and authentic and each PGOM team member let her personality shine and embraced the girls there. It was amazing to watch the bonding taking place and hear the laughter and the chatter in the room. Before we left, we gave each girl one of the bracelets we made at the last meeting as well as a hangPROUD mirror. Each bracelet represents a positive word or phrase to live by and the girls were excited to receive them! We all look forward to going back soon to build relationships, but until we do, will corespondent the old fashion way by writing letters to the girls!

PROUDgive #3 was sensational. There is nothing like seeing the PGOM dance in grass skirts. Each of you took time out of your busy schedules to make a difference in the lives of a few elderly folks. I watched there faces light up just having you there was a joy for them. We'll have to go back soon for a visit. PGOM coninues to Rock. Next week we hit LIttle Flower Children & family services. Stay tuned......

Just visited the Little Flower Family & Children services of NY. We will be coming here to connect with some of the younger girls and become their mentors. We will be visiting the facility in June. It will be a great experience.

diane - (5/7/2009 3:15:05 AM) PGOM team completed first task, Big give #1 was a success, the INN was amazed at how many lunches we broguht through the door and even happier that the girls bagged everything! made it easy for them to give to their guests the next day. Visiting the Inn and understanding the hardships that people go through makes us appreciate the things we have. Never take things for granted, we are all blessed. We will continue to make a difference- Bring it on! Thank you ladies- you made this possible.

Brainy - (5/7/2009 12:17:26 AM) So today we brought the lunches to The Inn. What an amazing place with just purley amazing people working there. I have so much respect for what the people who volunteer at the inn do. They were so thankful for what we did because we made their day so much easier, and the people that go there too. Well they did put us to work which we were so thrilled to do. We worked behind the scenes organizing the donated clothes and wow. Its alot of hard work but so worth it. Our first mission is completed and I think we so dominated this task and I cannot wait for mission number 2! Wish us luck :] Stay Proud Brianna

WOW...what a day it was yesterday! The PGOM team is extraordinary! I truly still can not believe the incredible power you all possess. Not only were you able to get donations to provide 1001 lunches, but it was remarkable to watch your team work ethic, how you all took on a task immediately and made this happen. YOU did it and we are so proud of all of you. It's hard to describe to anyone what 1001 lunches actually look like. When you see the enormous quantity of food disappear and get transfered into a sea of brown paper lunch bags, it blows your mind away. Personally, this has been one of the hardest yet most rewarding experiences of my life and today when we actually caravan over to The Inn, IN FIVE CARS!!! to do the drop off, I can't wait to experience the pride from the collective team, knowing that we have contributed to feeding 1001 hungry people. JUST AMAZING!
carla - (5/9/2009 1:26:11 AM)
diane - (5/6/2009 3:16:18 AM) I can't tell you how PROUD I am of all of you. We worked our Butts off and accomplished our goal. I watched as all of you poured your hearts and souls into this. Everyone was covered in either tuna, peanut butter, jelly or brownie mix and you kept on going....four hours to meet our goal. That last sandwich was the finish line and we made it. I can't think of a better, stronger more inspiring group than team Smithtown. You can do anthything you set your mind to. As I always say PGOM Rocks.....You have and will continue to make a difference!
carla - (5/9/2009 1:25:28 AM)
Brainy - (5/6/2009 1:29:17 AM) WOW! So today was our sandwich bag packing brownie making day and that was a work load. We worked from 3 straight to 8 oclock today. It was insane I thought a thousand was alot but I never pictured it as much as we did today. My whole basement was covered with brown lunch bags.(and its not a small basement) By the end of the day everybody was so sick of food. We even made up a new motto "Sick of food, but eager to feed". It doesn't even make sense but trust me if you were doing this you would understand. Anyways I can not wait till tomorrow to deliver all the food to The Inn. It's going to be awsome to see a finished project something we have been working on for weeks. Soon there will be pictures posted of our lunch making sandwich day and us at The Inn so keep a look out. And thanks to all the PGOM girls we rocked today! Stay PROUD, Brianna

Great job Brianna and ALL the girls! These are great lessons that we're learning along the way. Nothing is a waste...every effort you make, no matter what the result or outcome is a lesson learned. Can't wait to crank the music while we get the PGOM sandwich assembly line into action!
Brainy - (5/5/2009 2:02:30 AM)
So here is my brief little comment on our first mission. I handed out over 300 fliers around my neighborhood. I was really worried after a couple of days with only a few donations. I was astonished acutally best way to put it I'm like I so over estimated everybody. But than I realized not everybody is going to go out of their way to drop off their food somewhere else to who knows who. So I went out myself and went door to door. And you know what almost everybody was happy to help and eager to donate! I want to thank everybody who helped by donating. So even with my collections I was short and stressing. The due date for all the donations was a day later and too me the 300 fliers went to waste. On the day the flier said to drop off by I drove passed my house and there was sitting 4 bags full of donations. For being so nervous people finally pulled through. Hopefully our goal to feed 1001 people at The Inn will be accomplished. Wish us luck on our lunch bag making tomorrow :] STAY PROUD, Brianna

Today Olivia, Allison and I went to a homeowners organization meeting, to pitch our first mission to them (feeding 1001 people in our community), and about Proud girl. We got positive feed back and mos likely some new faces will appear on the site. I was so happy to see that everybody there was really excited and wanted to help and spread the word for other people to make donations. I'm becoming really confident that our first mission is going to be a successful and we mgiht come out with a little more than we planned. _Brianna :] PGOM ROXS
